What we collect
When you upload a receipt photo, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to extract item names, prices, and currency. The photo is processed in memory and never stored on our servers or by Anthropic beyond the duration of that request.
The parsed receipt data (restaurant name, items, amounts) is saved so that everyone you share the link with can view and claim their items. No account or login is required.
How long we keep it
Receipt data is automatically and permanently deleted 7 days after it is created. There is no manual deletion option — the data simply expires.
Who can see your receipt
Anyone with the share link can view the receipt and claim items. Links are long random identifiers and are not listed or discoverable by search engines. Only the person who created the receipt holds an owner token (stored in their browser's local storage) that allows editing.
Cookies & analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, performance metrics). No personal identifiers, cookies, or cross-site tracking are used.
Third-party services
- Anthropic Claude — AI model used to parse receipt photos. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data sent during the API call.
- Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure. Vercel's privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information and receipts auto-expire, there is nothing to request access to or delete. If you have questions, reach out via the project's GitHub repository.
